Deb and Ukko

Ukko was one of the puppies born in Hispu's first litter. He was conceived along with is brother and sisters in Finland and was born here in Australia.
He made his home with Deb Richardson and her family and this was the start of a great friendship for both dog and humans. Because of Ukko Deb has become an important part of "Cabana Cove" and now owns two other Nahrof Border Collies. I have the pleasure of showing Mig a lot!!
Ukko although not a show dog has shown great promise in the herding arenas but even more importantly as a Delta dog. Ukko and Deb spend a great deal of their time at Westmead Children's Hospital and these amazing pair make such a difference to the lives of the children who are there.
It takes a very special dog and person to do this kind of volunteer work and we are VERY proud of them both.
