I originated in Scotland a long time
ago,
Just a black and white collie with get up and go.
The shepherd was my master with woollies on the hill,
But to keep them altogether, required a special kind of skill.
The Sheep Dog Trials helped my claim
to fame,
For there wasn't a woolly that I couldn't tame.
Then Australian shores saw my arrival in 1901,
To breed a strain of working dog to this day, equal to none!
Although working woollies I was sure
to pass,
But when I entered the Show Ring, I really gave it class.
In Obedience too, I did not fail,
Achieving the highest of scores with my wagging tail.
A versatile dog? You might be
surprised,
For I think I am "human"………………in a black and white disguise!
